More Mailbox Decals

I've decided that these are so fun!  My calligraphy made into a decal for a mailbox.  LOVE what these clients did with them!

Song Lyrics

I was recently contacted and challenged to take on this new project.  They asked me to create the lyrics to their song into their names.  It took a while to figure out but the client was thrilled!!!!

The possibilities are endless with this!  Let me know if there is something you would like me to create!

More Photo Mats

I've been doing a lot of photo mats lately.
They have become quite popular - partly because of my shop on Etsy.

Love this one done on a black mat with white ink.....

Wedding vows with mixed fonts - Script and block

Jersey Shore Wedding

Last month, my cousin, Ashlea got married on the Jersey Shore.  We were all quite excited to welcome Colin as a permanent member of our family.  It was a beautiful wedding, and I was so thankful to have a small part in it.

LOVE her invite!  PERFECT for a beach wedding.  We finished off the invites with the Chloe font.  Fun and more casual for the Jersey Shore.  I loved the way she used the flags as her inner envelope information.  This was an adult only wedding and she wanted to communicate exactly who was invited.  So, she tied them all up and added the flags.  PERFECT!

Ashlea and Colin have traveled a lot together and they used some of their favorite places as table assignments.  We used the Chloe font again for the place cards, attached a magnet to the back and they stuck nicely to this metal board covered with a map of the world.  How fun is that?

It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple!!!

Congratulations Ashlea and Colin!!!!!

Sanddollars

So very excited about these!

What a great idea!  The possibilities are endless!  These were actually used as favors at a weekend beach retreat.  But they could easily be used for so many different things.  Place cards, party/wedding favors, Christmas Ornaments, etc.

I already have orders for these to be used at a wedding and then turned into Christmas ornaments.  Can't wait to share pics!

New Font Style!

Another New Lettering Style!

To be honest with you, when I first started my business in 2005, I had one lettering style.  It was the classic Calligraphy font that you learn in class.  For a few years, if anyone asked me to do anything different, I was terrified and referred them to another calligrapher.

In the last few years, I've taken on the challenge and I LOVE IT!!!!  My confidence has grown and I LOVE to play and create something new.

This bride is a friend of the family.  She loved the style of the Emily lettering - how it's sideways and mixed with block letters.  But she wondered if we could get the names to match the lettering on her invite.

I took the challenge!!!!

Love the way it turned out and so did she.

I've named this one "Jessi" in her honor.

Contact me if you have a new lettering style you would like me to try......

Recent Projects

I've had a lot of different types of projects lately.  I always enjoy that as it breaks things up a bit and keeps the creativity going.

Certificates for the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.  How fun is that?

Plum colored envelopes with white ink.  ALWAYS LOVE white ink.  So fun!!!

This bride is having a small destination wedding at Disney.  She didn't want a guest book - but a page for her scrapbook.  We came up with this idea - LOVE it!!!

Photo Mats

One of my favorite things to is photo mats.  It adds such a great touch to your photos.  This week, I worked on two.  Both were the song lyrics to the first song the couples danced to as husband and wife.

Then
By Brad Paisley

Hey Pretty Girl
By Kip Moore

Both are done on an 11 x 14 photo mat with a 5 x 7 opening.

Please contact me for a quote with your own lyrics, wedding vows, etc.....

New Font

I love it when brides tweak a design and change things up a bit.  Gives me the time and excuse to play.

It turned out to be a mixture of the Anne and the Emily.

Emily Font

Instead of slanting the larger names to the side - we kept them centered on the envelope.

The names are done with a larger quill and the address and zip code are centered on the envelopes.

I love the way it has come out - I'm calling it "Kensie"

Have an idea for your envelopes?  Give me a call - let's create something new!

Hand Made Place Cards

LOVE these!!!!

The Mother of the Bride has been working on these for a while.  She contacted be several months ago, sent me a sample place card, along with a knob so we could make sure that my ink wouldn't bleed and I would have enough room to write with the knobs in place.

I love it when people are willing to think outside the "norm."  She cut each of these place cards - including the pattern in the top and then soaked them in both coffee and tea.  It created an awesome antique look - not to mention, it made the best smelling paper I have ever worked with!  Each place card is held up with a classic looking drawer pull or knob.

It's been so much fun working on this wedding.  She quickly became known as my "Knob lady."

Congratulations Taylor & Nick!  I hope your day is awesome!!!!

Off the Page..... Again!

Okay - Simply THRILLED about this!  I am now offering decals!

Have a scripture verse or a quote that you would like blown up on on your wall?  Have a word or a name for a room?

I can help design it for you - in my Calligraphy - and we can have it made into a decal.  As large as you would like.  How exciting is that?

I LOVE it!

Since the beginning of our relationship, my husband and I have claimed this verse.  It's even engraved in his wedding band.  When we moved into our house seven years ago, I knew I wanted it to go on this wall above my kitchen sink.  I wanted it in my calligraphy - but didn't want to try to write  directly on the wall because of the size.  This was the PERFECT solution!  I am so happy with it.

It was so easy to do - so I am now offering it to my customers.

So, if you would like to create something special, contact me and we can work on it!  Let's take it off the page......

Off the Page

Calligraphy by Cami is going in a new direction!  I am sooooo excited about this!

No longer is my work confined to paper.  Gone are the days of fitting everything into an 8 x 10 or a 11 x 14 that is suitable for framing.  Want to go larger?  Want to cover a huge space on your wall?  Want to customize something with my calligraphy?  Want me to write on an object that may be difficult to make permanent?

Decals are the answer!

I was contacted by a bride this past fall who wanted me to write on a white mailbox for the guests to put their cards in at the reception.  We wanted to make it permanent so it could actually be used in the future so I contacted my friend Lauren at Ten23 Designs and discovered that she can take my work and blow it up - make it smaller - whatever is needed.  How exciting is this???

The possibilities are endless!

Have a special scripture or quote you want for that empty wall????  I do!  I have had a wall in my kitchen and I've known exactly what I wanted on it - but I didn't want to paint the Calligraphy myself.  I'm having it done in a decal - can't wait for it to come in!

Need a custom Rubber Stamp?  Had an inquiry for that yesterday.

I'm so so excited about all of this - it opens up so many opportunities.

Got an idea?  Let's take it off the page......
